We held a Policyholder Celebrations
on 26 August 2008 at the podium of Great Eastern Centre,
where we held two live radio road shows at 12 noon and
5 pm successively. There were four game stations and a
redemption booth for our special limited edition centennial
umbrella. The Live Mobile Radio shows were from Class
95 and Yes 93.3 with favorite Deejays Flying Dutchman,
Glenn Ong, Mary and Pei Fen. During each 2-hour stint,
one $100 shopping voucher prize was given away every 15
minutes by the Deejays and it ended with the Grand Draw
of $1,000 shopping voucher!
More than 1000 people showed up at the fun-filled carnival
where we had 4 game stores. The redemption of the free
centennial umbrella was a hit. To hype up the event, we
had 100 cars that drove along the Great Eastern driveway
from 12.15pm with our owned designed car decals. The rally
was organized by GELPA for the agency force. The highlight
was the cutting of the giant 15kg cake by our Director
and Group CEO, Mr Tan Beng Lee and our Managing Director,
Mr Tan Hak Leh followed by the colourful and stunning
kaleidoscope of showering confetti.
After the cake cutting sessions, more than 500 boxes of
free cakes were up for grabs. Policyholders were also
given boxes of chocolates if they were attended by our
Customer Service Officers at the walk-in counters.
