ASEAN Business
Awards
The Awards Ceremony for the inaugural ASEAN Business Awards (ABA)
took place on 18 November 2007. The Awards recognise ASEAN companies
which have contributed to the growth of the region.
A total of 63 nominations were received, from which 12 finalists
were selected by an independent judging panel from ASEAN countries.
Chairing the panel of nine judges was JY Pillay, Chairman of Singapore
Exchange Ltd.
The awards were conferred
on the "Most Admired ASEAN Enterprise" in four categories: |

Great Eastern was one of four Singapore companies among the 12 ASEAN
firms shortlisted for the ABA and was among the three finalists
in the "Innovation" category. Our MDO, Tan Hock Lye, received
the finalist award on behalf of Great Eastern from Minister for
Trade & Industry, Lim Hng Kiang.
