About DPS

The Dependants’ Protection Scheme (DPS)
was introduced by the CPF Board in 1989, to cover its members
against death and permanent incapacitation. It is a low cost term
insurance which covers all CPF members who are Singapore citizens
or permanent residents, between 16 and 60 years old, and currently
making CPF contributions.
DPS provides coverage of up to $46,000 to help members and their
families tide over the first few years should death or permanent
incapacitation occur.
How to apply for DPS
New CPF members will be automatically covered under DPS,
subject to their good health. They will also be randomly assigned
to either Great Eastern or NTUC Income as their DPS insurer.
If you have opted out previously but wish to rejoin DPS, please
